Dear all,
I am very pleased to report that once again the event went extremely well and the weather was ideal for helpers and riders alike.
We had circa 750 riders who pledged over £32,000 which is a fantastic amount of money to be raised in a single event.
My helpers totalled 21 in number, 18 who were from the S&DTTL/B&DTTL, along my neighbour Steve Parker and his two sons. Yet again an increase in the number of helpers I have ever had in the 16 years that I have been running the start/finish area and check in desks. Having all these helpers really pleased me and makes my job on the day very easy and able to run things smoothly.
I would like to extend a big thank you to all those who managed to get out of bed very early on a Sunday morning and come along to help me. For those of you who didn't manage to get along to help, don't worry I will be pestering you for next years event.
Many thanks to Charles, Kevin R, Jayne, Duncan, Steve M, Simon and Andy Woods, Chris J, John P, Peter S, Ian, Pam and Gordon, Anthon, Colin, Kevin and James Calden, Ken, Steve, Ewan and Gavin Parker.
Without all the help we would not be able to run this event each year and raise lots of money for the LRF/LLR Charity.
Best wishes
George
PS – If anyone has any comments regarding any improvements for next year then please drop me a line, we are always keen to improve things.
