It is with great sadness that I announce the
passing of
Reginald Charles Harris
Beloved Husband, father and granddad on
Thursday
20th October 2005
Father was born in
London in 1920, he
spent his early years living in London, working during
the war in a reserved occupation and serving with the
London fire service. A
keen table tennis player who had played in the Southend league since the early
sixty’s. A founder member of Rayleigh TTC and enjoying the sport tremendously,
he ensured his three sons all learnt to play. One of his proudest moments was a
Southend League team of just Harris’s. In later years he had great pleasure
passing his considerable knowledge onto a new generation of players, both table
skills and psychological games-man-ship.
After several months of increasing illness he
passed away peacefully without pain.
Reginald Charles
Harris
1920 –
2005
Rest in
Peace
